Congratulations🎉! Now, you are two months and one week pregnant!

At the 10th week of pregnancy, your baby has officially left the embryonic stage and completely into the fetal stage. Along with this week, come to a lot of changes in order to complete the development.

At this phase, you will stop wondering when you’ll start looking pregnant, but you won’t be able to show off your pregnancy.


What to expect at 10 weeks pregnant? What’s happening inside your body?

At 10 weeks pregnant, you’ve gained around one to three pounds. At this week, you will notice by looking in the mirror that you are growing baby bump.

10 weeks pregnant will include the symptoms of the first trimester as well as some of the new ones including:

  • Constipation

Pregnant women are encouraged and advised to take prenatal vitamins like the Folic Acid, but all the irony can make them feel a little constipated.

  • Mood Swings

At 10 weeks pregnant, you will feel like you’re riding a roller coaster of different emotions.

  • Growing Breasts

You will notice a change in the size of your breasts as they are growing bigger for milk.

  • Vaginal Discharge

This might seem a little gross, but you will notice an increased blood flow to your vagina in along with the increasing production of estrogen production.

  • Visible Veins

Additionally, you will notice those blue lines that have suddenly appeared on your skin


How big is your baby at 10 weeks pregnant?

At the 10th week of pregnancy, your baby is as big as a strawberry. He/she weighs around 14 ounces and measures about 1.2 inches long. Surprise! The length of your baby’s body will double in the upcoming 3 weeks!


What’s happening with your baby?

At 10 weeks pregnant, your baby will look more and more like a human; as I’ve mentioned earlier, your baby now has become a fetus.

As internal organs continue to develop, the vital organs such as the kidneys, the liver, and the brain begin functioning on their own. Through the upcoming weeks, your baby will continue to grow incredibly larger.


10 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound

You’re advised to check the growth of your baby at 10 weeks pregnant as the most of your baby’s organs has begun their development. The growth of your baby’s hair is now visible on the ultrasound. Your baby’s skin is translucent now and it is possible to see his/her vital organs.

You’re almost making it through the end of your first trimester; you may consider wearing some loose clothes as your belly is growing rounder with the expanding of your uterus. Along with this tip comes the following checklist,

  • Go shopping for some maternity clothes
  • Include walking in your daily routine to improve your blood flow
  • Sign up for weekly pregnancy tips
  • Stay calm
  • Keep taking prenatal vitamins including vitamin D
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Stay away from unhealthy food
  • Make sure you have well-balanced meals
  • Share your feelings with your partner
  • Try simple exercises to keep your body active
