By the 24th week of pregnancy, you’ll notice that your belly becomes rounder and very obvious. You’ll notice yourself more emotional with everything surrounding you even a scene in a movie. Amazingly, you’ll feel more connected to your baby, you may find yourself rubbing your tummy subconsciously! Oh, this is breathtaking!

Every week of pregnancy comes with a variety of symptoms; here are the most common symptoms for the 24th week;

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Having an uncomfortable feeling of numbness? Don’t worry, it’s the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome causing all the numbness all over your fingers and wrists.

  • Dry Eyes

You’ll find yourself experiencing dry eyes this week; ask your doctor for suitable eye drops and remember to wear your sunglasses.

  • Stretch Marks

Most pregnant women notice some stretch marks on their tummies, thighs, breasts, and hips; it’s because of the expanding uterus and the gaining-weight body. Make sure to use an effective rub moisturizer!

  • Headaches

Sadly, you’ll notice more headaches during this week. This is could happen to you because you don’t drink enough water or your blood sugar is low.

  • Leg Cramps

Leg cramps can be very painful and annoying at the same time, so try to overcome this symptom by extending your legs or asking your partner for a soft, gentle massage.

  • Backaches

A lot of pregnant women are suffering from aching back which is a normal side effect of pregnancy hormones.

  • Linea Nigra

  • Constipation

Sadly, constipation can keep coming and going during your whole pregnancy. You may relieve it by eating fiber-rich food, drinking plenty of water and exercising for 30 minutes if your doctor approves.

  • Lower Abdominal Achiness

As your uterus keeps on expanding every single day; the ligaments supporting it stretch and this will cause some pain.

  • Swollen Feet and Ankles

Most pregnant women experience swollen feet or ankles, therefore, try to relieve your legs as much as you can. In addition, drink plenty of water and have short walks.

At 24 weeks pregnant, your baby is as big as the size of a cantaloupe; weighing around 1.3 pounds and measuring about 11.8 inches long.

Your baby’s brain continues to grow as do the taste buds and lungs which begin to develop new cells producing surfactant. At 24 weeks pregnant, your baby is still using his or her hands and feet to develop their sense of touch.
